Bath Time!

Jack LOVES his baths. He would seriously sit for hours with his head under the faucet and be totally content.

Posted by PicasaNow that his cord fell off we can give him real baths in the tub and he loves those too. Especially at the end when we let the faucet rinse him good...something about the flowing water really gets him ;)

Catch up- Visitors and Home

The Sunday we came home we had all sorts of visitors come to see Jack (and us). Julie and Trent came with their family, Great G-ma and Pa Peterson came and Walter came all the way from Maryland to visit! Too bad he didn't bring his family.... It was fun to see everyone, thanks for visiting!
Grandma V came for a few days to help out too, and Jack just looks so small in his buggy!

The one is of him under the lights, he was such a good sport. Posted by Picasa

Picture catch-up!

At the Hospital
Just some visitors! Bringing our baby home

We were met at the door with a "Jack"-o-latern sign saying welcome home Jack, and a beautiful centerpiece full of "Jack" things. Emily and Natalie informed us the night before we came home that they had previously been playing "Slap Jack" Oh great.....a glimpse of things to come :)

We Love Jack!

Jack Jack: Our own little superhero :)

John and I are amazed every second of every day how much we love this little man. I get so emotional just thinking about how perfect he is and how lucky we are. I never knew you could instantly love somebody so much, we're so grateful for our little miracle!
He's developed a little jaundice since we've brought him home from the hospital. We have had to keep him under the lights pretty much all the time since yesterday afternoon. Today he is doing much better though and will hopefully only have 1 day left. He really is such a trooper!
Thanks so much everyone for all your love and support!

Introducing....

The newest member of our family! Jack Dee Van Orman, born August 14th at 12:31 am. He was 3 weeks early, 6 lbs 5 ounces and 19 inches long. We already love him so much!

Everyone is doing just fine, we'll be in the hospital until tomorrow morning because they want to watch Jack. Elise was GBS positive so they want to make sure it wasn't passed to the baby during birth, but we should be free to go after that. We've never been happier!
