3 pictures, i love summer

Don't you guys love Jack's outfit?
Sunday night we had a BBQ with some friends, John got Jack ready. Lol, i love my boys
(side note: when i saw the outfit i couldn't stop laughing...hysterically...)

Saturday was a ward BBQ up the mountain. It was a lot of fun. John made a dutch oven dessert and it was awesome.  Here's a family picture
And this is my sweet little boy, just chillin while we were getting everything loaded back up in the car.
Jack has been sick, over two weeks now. He's just not been himself yet and we miss his happy self. But if anything good has come of this it has been that Jack will now cuddle with us! He never would before and we are truly enjoying that. He is the sweetest little guy in the whole world and we love him so much.

Have a nice day

Random

How do the rest of you parents choose which pictures to post, i can never decide so you get two of the cute ones in the high chair. This kid loves to eat. I love him :)

Jack LOVES our green smoothie/drinks. I had to get a shot of him guzzling it. I'm actually really happy about this because he's getting vegetables! Fruits are much easier to prepare than veggies so I'm glad he's getting them this way :)

We all went with John to go shoot carp with his bow. Me and Jack hung out on the cement barrier while John retrieved his arrow's....he didn't get one...again...

Have i mentioned lately that i have the greatest husband in the entire world? He works so hard, and goes to school and when i got home from running errands today he was just finishing up cleaning our super messy house, dishes, vacuuming, everything. I really truly love him. He is such a great husband and such a great dad. You know, before we were married i thought i didn't want to have kids for a while, but once we were married, i couldn't wait for John to be the father of my children. Watching the two of them makes me happier than words can express. I feel like such a lucky girl. blessed. very blessed.

Have i also mentioned lately that i LOVE summer? I love warm weather, i love playing in cold water, i love being outside, i love going on walks, i love going on bike rides. Life is always good in the summertime. My stroller and jack's bike seat are my favorite baby purchases.

I love my little boy and if John were here, he would say that he does too. Who knew having a son would be so much fun? We can't imagine our lives without him.

PS. I'm getting my sewing machine out now...wish me luck...lots of projects that need finishing, its too bad i only get the sewing urge once a year.

The birds and the bees

actually just the birds, and a little fish...or lack of, thats a different story, first things first. My neighbors left for the summer, so these sweet things moved in...
Its been so fun to have them as nieghbors! Their sweet chips when mom brings food is adorable. I guess i've never watched birds very closely but i've been amazed at how hard these babies mom is working to bring them food! She's gone, gets back, is there for 2 seconds dropping off food and then is gone again to look for more, its sweet to watch.

And now the fish, or lack thereof? We went fishing...again...and lost our lure...again....without catching anything....again...., i'm beginning to think fishing isn't really for us...
But here's the happy fisherman anyway...not actally fishing since we forgot to get the camera out while we there but here's him getting the poles ready
So i guess i have some to say about bee's too since these wouldn't be lookin as good as they are without them...
First tomato (above)
First pepper (below)
I can't wait to be able to harvest them!

One more thing, this sweet couple stopped in on us while we were fishing up at 2nd dam, the happy duo was driving through on their way back from a much needed anniversary vacation. Thanks for stopping, it was good to see you!

Jack's famous

You won't believe this but Jack really is famous. In the last post i talked about how we went to that awesome concert in the park in Nibley, it was really fun but this morning Jack and i were at the Riverwalk, we were at the end stretching after i'd finshed, me on the ground, Jack in the stroller and this older couple came walking by, they looked at Jack and had this conversation:

Husband: Honey, thats the little boy we were watching over at the Nibley concert Wife: "Oh yeah it is!" (then to me) "he is so cute"
Wife: (also to me) "Everybody's been talking about him all weekend!

What? Everybody's been talking about my son because they saw him at the Jon Schmidt concert in Nibley? and who's everybody anyway?? Keep in mind i'm unrecognizable in my running attire, and Jack is now just in his pajama's. Somehow they still recognized him...wow, who knew we made (i mean Jack made) such an impact.

Here's a little video clip of the concert, good times :)I had to record most of this song because John and I both love it....Because of legal issues, he had to do a special introduction to each song, it was hilarious.

Well Blogger won't upload my video at the moment. I'll have to try again later. Sorry!

Halleluia! (no idea on spelling)

But you know what i mean. And why Hallelujah?? Because i found my camera! Yay, I'm so happy. Where i found it was a little embarrassing (i should have found it a long time ago) but the important part is that we once again can take pictures to document our life. Speaking of documenting our life, I've decided to go un-private. Lots of reasons but mostly because we're still getting weird comments on our pre-blog, which means, they don't really mean anything. We'll keep our new blog address just so that we don't get the weirdies (hopefully). Anyway, it was an adventure, being private for a few weeks and all :) But the adventure is over.

Anyway, back to the main purpose of the blog today....updating! With lost pictures. First here's a list of Jack's most recent firsts:

Sunday June 13th, the day after my sisters wedding, Jack got sick. Temperature, cold symptoms, just miserable (his first real sickness). Monday it was much worse so being the paranoid new mom that i am, we took him in to see the Dr after he'd woken up and was really shaky. Turns out he had an ear infection along with everything else so we got a prescription for antibiotics and we were on our way. He's doing much better now but still has this nasty mucousy cough. Poor kid. He is happy though and that's got to mean something...

Over the wedding weekend Jack started moving a little bit (trying to keep up with his cousin that's 3 months younger and a girl) but still not much. Wednesday (June 16th) i was in the kitchen cleaning, Jack was in the living room playing, i came to check on him and he was across the room! He's moving....and that was only the beginning. Now he LOVES being mobile, he just plays and plays and plays, its a really fun stage to watch him figure out all of these new things, we love watching him learn.

2 days later Jack drank through his first straw (i was impressed).

Yesterday Jack and i went to a free Jon Schmidt concert. It was a lot of fun, really relaxed, at a park, sprawled out on the grass. Jack loved it. So did i. There were fireworks afterwards and i was so excited for Jack to see them. I was hoping he'd love them as much as i do. He didn't. He was scared for the first while, but then he got used to them and just talked through the rest. He didn't seem to love them, but maybe someday he will. It was a great fireworks show though and had the best finale I've seen in a long time.

This has turned out to be pretty long, so i'm sure your just ready for a picture overload, here goes
Jack at the concert, loving life

Waiting for the fireworks to begin
John's parents came to visit a few weeks ago, we went to Willow park zoo, it was a lot of fun. Jack loved the monkey's.
Jack with Grandma
Jack and i rode back with John's fam to attend Pete's graduation, way to go Pete!

And last but not least, Natalie and William got hitched! Congratulations you too!

Us at the Wedding, i loved her colors and Natalie look absolutely amazing. (William didn't look half bad either)

If you made it this far, i'm highly impressed. Thanks for reading.

Day 1:

This is what John did during his break from work today. This morning he started his first day of P90X, 90 days to a beach body (we keep telling him that in 90 days he won't need a beach body since it will be winter but oh well). Anyway, it worked him. He needed a rest. I love this guy.
P.S. Sorry the photo is blurry, its from my phone, my camera is still missing gosh dang it.

no camera

Oh where oh where has my camera gone...i have no idea. Good news is i found someone to talk our family pictures! Actually, i went to our wards relief society service auction last night and I WON that service...it was awesome. I can't wait to get them done. Also, another awesome thing is that i met a great lady in the ward who is HUGE into gardening and her and her husband both came over this morning to give me advice about mine. It was so so helpful, i'm so grateful for nice people!

Big news? Jack is a big boy. He's figured out that he can stand up in his crib (whoa), he just hasn't figured out yet that he can't sleep standing up....dang it. Naps have become a nightmare, but i think it'll be just a stage (at least thats what my friends tell me). Jack is also eating like a mad-man. He LOVES any food that we give him. For dinner yesterday he had a whole banana, 2 whole gramcrackers, peas, and an entire thing of baby vegetables...it seems like i'm forgetting something....oh well. just a ton though. He loves food.

John is so busy. He's the greatest husband and father in the world. He's been working this summer while still taking a couple of classes and he is SO busy but still finds time for us. His one class ended today. We're so happy its over, now hopefully we can start to enjoy our summer vacation a little bit. Speaking of vacation, John and I think it'd be fun to go somewhere just the two of us this summer...does anybody have any ideas? Obviously somewhere not too far away and not too expensive...idea's are appreciated.

Life is good. We are blessed and tomorrow we get to celebrate a very big and exciting event. Pictures to follow...
