Good times

Here's my 2 boys on halloween, Jack was a lion (he reminds me most of the one on the Wizard of Oz) And John had to dress up for work, he was very creative with his costume and was a hippie, thanks Olsen's for the ugliest tie dye shirt in the history of Tie Dye! It made a great costume!

After John left and Jack saw the bandana tied around his head he had to have it too, lol so cute

Then this morning, they were still out, here's my handsomes :)
And i just HAD to add this picture, its something i Finally captured on camera, its the way John washes Jack up after a meal, this is the way he's always done it and probably always will, lol I just can't believe Jack lets him! He doesn't seem to mind at all....I love my boys

SLRs

I know i'm on a blogging kick. I'm just looking into getting a new digital SLR camera. But i need advice, Canon, or Nikon? I'm looking at the Canon Rebel T1i or the Nikon D5000 or the D3100. If anybody has any advice it'd be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

The Windcaves (picture overload)

Yesterday we decided to hike to the windcaves, we figured after 2 years of living here it was about time. It was fun and really cool

It doesn't look like it in these first pictures but Jack really did love being in the back pack and being able to check everything out, so fun :)
See that snowball in his hands? He did NOT want to get rid of it, after it started melting too much we took it from him and he wasn't a happy camper, oh well, he got over it :)
He love hitting his dad in the head with a stick, who wouldn't love doing that?
This is a little alcove on the way to to the windcaves, we stopped for a rest
And then we made it! They really are pretty cool, we had no idea how big they were!
Here's a prego picture for all of you that are wondering what i look like these days...
Jack was pretty excited just to be able to sit and walk around after the long hike stuck in the backpack.

(I love how when he picks things up it looks like he's doing a grab on a snowboard, so funny, so much like his dad :))

A pretty view, i was sad we missed most of the fall leaves, they've mostly fallen off the trees by now and been soaked in that last rain storm we had, but it was still beautiful!

John and i both agree that being outside is VERY therapeutic, we love it! So glad John had a couple of days off work to relax and hang out with us! I'm so grateful for all he does for us, but sometimes i just miss him, it was so good to have him home!

outside

Jack loves to be outside, so do all of us but its been so cold lately its been hard! Yesterday morning Jack was dying to go outside, by this i mean he kept bringing me his shoes, knocking on the inside of the front door, and staring out the window...anyway, it was only 8:30 in the morning and i was not ready to go outside yet. But since he was so anxious i put his shoes on and i put his coat on, he doesn't really like his coat because it totally drowns him and is hard to move in and i thought if i can make it drive him crazy enough, then maybe we won't have to go outside. Well this is the best i could do...

And he finally couldn't stand it :)
I'm trying to upload more pictures but i'm having the same problem with blogger...oh it drives me crazy. So this is all you get for this post!

The best 3 years

Yesterday was our 3 year anniversary. It was the best one yet :) In case you didn't know, i married the greatest man alive and i love him so much. He got work off so that we could do something special and something special we did. We started out that the corn maze with Jack and a Hayride. It was a lot of fun

We went through the maze and John and Jack had fun climbing the haybales. There have this place where you can jump off into the mattresses, its pretty cool.

The cool haybale pyramid. It has a maze going through out it and you can climb up it too, pretty cool

Yes, that is my star.

We came home and carved pumpkins, John is the creative/family oriented one. If you can figure out his Jack-O-Latern let me know :)
After all this, we put Jack to bed, got a babysitter and headed to dinner and a Movie. It was seriously such a fun day, i'm so glad we were able to spend it together!
Happy Anniversary to my best friend!

P.S. I can't figure out how to move these pictures into the right order so you get them as they are. Sometimes blogger drives me crazy!

sippin' hot cocoa

Wow, i'm really loving hot chocolate this fall...hmmmm, yes i'm having some right now. So good, I LOVE fall, really, what is there not to love about this time of year? The beautiful trees, yummy soups, pumpkins, and hot chocolate. So. Good.

Today we went to the pumpkin walk here in Logan, its really cool, random people just come up with these totally awesome pumpkin displays and you get to walk around and look at everything for FREE! It was great. We went with our friends and they were awesome enough to provide hot chocolate and orange rolls. It was so fun. I feel like i haven't gotten to enjoy fall much this year because i'm stuck at home and all we have around here are little punny (is that a word) new trees, not the amazing mature ones up the mountain or even in town but today i felt like i got a little bit of my fill and i really enjoyed it. I even wore a sweater...and it even snowed :) Good times. Life it good. John is busy, Jack is growing...and so am i.... only 3 months left and we'll have another little one! We're very excited.

I hope you all are having a wonderful time this time of year too! I think we better enjoy it while we can because i don't think its going to last too long. I wish i had leaves to rake...wouldn't that be so fun? Someday.... well i was feeling like i needed to blog because i hadn't in so long so there it is, no pictures, sorry...now i think i'll go snuggle up in a blanket, read my book and enjoy this amazing hot stuff :) Later

oh brother....

Literally, my brother had to have another surgery on his leg because it got infected from the last one. He's doing great now and was even allowed to go home yesterday (with a pick line in his body) but home. We were all happy, especially him, although i think he was having a good time in the hospital while it lasted...

XBOX, room service....cheesecake and steak whenever in the mood.... AND to top it all off, his favorite nephew came to visit, thanks for letting me beat you at every game we played Dane, i know you were just being a gentleman! Love you :)

(take a quick look everyone, this might be the only time you see Dane wearing shorts, he's usually found sporting the wrangler and belt buckle look, you don't get to see those totally cool scarred up legs very often :))

back yard adventures :)

Whenever John's got a few hours to kill, he usually wants to spend it finding something to kill. We joined him today and it was fun. We just headed into our back, back yard, through the horse coral and over by the river. Good times.

I LOVE my boys!

playhouse

We had this box sitting around for a couple days before John got a hold of it and put it to good use.
I don' know if you can see Jack's face in the bottom picture but its his super excited face.

Lately

Can you tell a difference between the sweet little boy on the left, and the super big boy drinking his green drink on the right???

I'll give you a hint: It has to do with one of Jack's first, and me, almost shedding a tear.

Yes. You guessed it. He got his first hair cut and he looks so dang old now! We went WAY TOO SHORT on the top i think, i'm going to let it grow out a bit and keep the sides short. Anyway, it was a big day...

Jack's favorite thing is to go outside. In the back yard his favorite thing to do is sit in the garden and eat tomatillos. We grew some this year and never used them the for anything but Jack's been peeling, and eating the like crazy, silly boy. He also likes to pick and eat anything he can get his hands on, peppers, tomatos, peas, anything really. He likes his vegetables :)

On another note, we finally made it to one of John's mission reunions! This was a special one because his mission president from Brazil was there to celebrate. It was so fun to meet everyone and John especially LOVED seeing his mission presidents again after so long. I'm glad we were finally able to make it to one.
