Yay!

So i know i just posted but i'm doin it again because i've got something EXCITING to post about! At least it's exciting to me... here's the story: For a while now (at least a couple years) i've been so sick of my purses because i hate those hand bags that you have to hang on to, or the kind that fall off of your shoulder because the handle is just SO small. I've been wanting one that just sits on ya, you know, one you can't loose as easily, anyway when one of the Young Women leaders i ork with gave me a purse pattern i was so so SO excited! Finally i finished it and dun-da da! Here's the final product!(As well as a preview to my belly, it gets bigger at the end of the day :)

Here's some closer up, i love it! And if you can't tell, i'm definitly on a red kick....

Yum yum

First off thanks everyone for all of your comments and input, i really appreciate it!

So, when i was first pregnant i was on this HUGE health kick, we were eating salads regularly, brown rice, wheat noodles, you know, healthy stuff it was great but the problem was that i was eating these things when i started feeling nauseous and so these types of food became the things that I LOATHED to eat or even think about eating and i'm embarrassed to admit i haven't been eating well since. Well, i'm trying to get back on track, i'm starting to feel quite a bit better and food is starting to taste good again although most healthy foods still don't sound too appetizing. Because of this i am working it back into my diet slowly, today i made this:This is a mixture of brown rice and white rice, and it tasted pretty good....slowly but surely i will start eating well again....

Quick Question

So, John and i like always, are looking for more ways to make money, our close to minimum jobs just aren't cutting it anymore so we're looking at our options. Since i'm having a baby and all :) i'm most likely not going to be hired by anyone temporarily so i've been tossing around the idea of selling something, you know, like those annoying parties you go to and just feel so obligated to get something.... not so intriguing but i figure, if i could sell something that people want and are in need of then it wouldn't be so annoying. Here's a list of the parties i've been to lately:
Lia Sophia (jewelery)
Sentsy (you know, the smell good cool stuff)
Pampered Chef
Mary Kay
I think thats it but then there's:
Tupperware
shoot, i really can't think of any others but anyway, i'm throwing out the Lia Sophia (i'm not really a jewelry person and i don't think most people would consider that expensive stuff a priority) Other than that, i'm taking a little survey, what would you readers out there most likely buy from anyone that was selling any of these items (or any others you can think of)? I'd greatly appreciate it if you'd leave a comment and let me know! If any of you have strong opinions about this idea, give me a call, i'd love to talk. Thanks everyone!

If the Savior stood beside me...

Standards night for our youth was tonight and it was awesome. A member of our stake presidency asked us to imagine to ourselves the words of the song if the Savior stood beside me, would i do the things i do, etc... But he said when dealing with your ipod, "if the Savior stood beside me, would i have the songs i have" or the cell phone "if the Savior stood beside me, would i text the things i text" he just went on and on and then he chalenged all of us by saying that the Savior already knows the things that we do, listen to and talk about. He knows and he challenged us to go home and get our electronics to a place where if the Savior stood beside us, he would be happy with those things that we are watching, listening to, and speaking about. I know this talk was for the youth, but it was also for all of us because we can all become a little better, and honestly when we do these things, we just make life a bit easier for ourselves by not allowing the bad into our lives. I remember in institute a few years ago i had a lesson about how we make our own lives hard by the options that we allow for ourselves. The prophet has said, don't watch R-rated movies, so if we as follower's of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ don't even allow ourselves the option of watching an R-rated movie than it ceases to be a temptation and we can be perfect in that one thing. We are in control of our own lives, we choose the temptations that we allow ourselves to have. I truly believe that and i hope i can take the advice of a wise man to help get my life into order, to change for the better. I'm so blessed. Thanks for reading

Valentines....I know, a little late ;)

So Saturday wasn't going to be much of a valentines day for us since John had work at 4 am, and when he got off work we were heading to Manti/Ephraim for the long weekend with Natalie and Cami. So on friday night, as i was in the kitchen, finishing cleaning up dinner, John was in the living room, in his Valentines outfit (below-all red) "cleaning up" -as he put it. Little did i know...When i was finished with the dishes, i came out to this! A Valentines fort, honeslty, i'm sorry everyone, but i've got the sweetest husband in the world, he built this fort (in just the right color's) and he also gave me those beautiful flowers. He really is the greatest and i'm so lucky to be married to such an amazing guy! I hope he never forgets that!

Things I love

In life lately i've tried to find those things that i love, those things that i can be passionate about and honestly, i've hard a hard time. I want to just love something, something that is such a part of me, and i'm not talking about loving my husband or my family but i'm talking more about a hobby of somesort, something i could just do and something that i love to do. Well, here's my list of things i love

1.I've been to 2 of the USU Gymnastics meets this last weekend and i've come to the conclusion that i LOVE gymnastics, i wish i would have stuck with it as a kid but i just love it
2. Soccer's another thing that i love, its fun, and i could watch it whenever.
3. I love the summer, i love everything about it, i love boating, skiing, wakeboarding, tubing, cliff jumping, sunbathing, snokeling (thanks to Jay), i love being in the mountains in warm weather, and i love sitting on our front or back porch and not being cold, having a BBQ and enjoying ourselves, i love that.

But so many of the things i love aren't things that are even possible to do at any given time. I hope to someday find something that i truly love to do, and could do whenever i had nothing else to do but in the meantime, i'll envy my husband, he loves to do so many things, he could shoot his bow all day long and absolutly love it, he could ride his motorcycle and never get bored, he could hike aorund in the foothills or mountains and never even feel tired but just love it. I guess i've yet to learn a few things from my husband.....and i'm thinking thats probably a good thing. But if any body out there has some ideas for me of things that i can do, in the winter time, in Logan UT without a sewing machine, let me know ;)

For Sale! And a fun Saturday

Hey! If anybody's interested, John is selling his motorcycle, it runs great but we're not going to be using it this summer so we figure there's no reason for it to sit around here.

Anyway, yesterday was a beautiful day, it feels like Spring! John worked til 2 and then we took an adventure. We went out into the back yard, by the river looking for ducks, i with my bread, and John with his bow. Well, it seems like the ducks weren't hungry yesterday because they never even came close to my bread... but they never came class to John's bow either. weird... The only place we saw them was flying through the sky, but we had a good time and seriously, it was beautiful. Last night we hung out with friends and had a great time, i finally found someone that loves fast card games as much as i do!

We even tried calling in something with John's distress call....still nothing, but you can see behind us the river, it really is fun to have that right in our back yard, even if it is kinda a hike to get there. Oh, and for all of you that are wondering yes I'm the blonde with that cute guy, and yes we finally found John's Hoyt hat that he thought he'd lost (It was in a bag with all of his hats....honestly, who would have looked there?.... :

John's latest obbsession....

Well, John's been obsessed with lots of things in the past, for a while it was sharpening knives and he's actually gotten really good at it (I used to catch him watching you-tube vidoes on how to do it). But his latest obsession is his new traditional bow he got for Christmas. He LOVES shooting it. He used to shoot it in our front yard into a pumpkin from Halloween but then it got too mushy...this brought about a very creative side of my husband that i haven't seen very often...

John decided to make a new target, he got boxes from Macey's that they didn't need anymore and brought them home to make his very own deer target. So now he can shoot his bow whenever, wherever but his favoite thing to do is take it in the back yard, (below-where those beautiful trees are is the Logan river) find ducks and try to shoot them. It's probably a good thing that he hasn't yet actually hit any (although he's been pretty close) but i told him that next time he wants to go, i'll go with him and take some bread to feed the ducks and lure them in (why don't guys think of this???). LOL, he says that if i can feed these ducks that he's been trying to sneak up on and shoot he'll break his bow and never hunt again hahaha, i know he really wouldn't do that and i don't want him to but i do think he'd be pretty funny if these ducks that he's been chasing are actually the tame ones that everybody feeds on the golf course and the logan river parkway, we'll see and i'll let you know!Hopefully John's next obsession will be getting his truck fixed! I can't wait to have that thing working again, it'll be so fun to be able to go in the mountains again! We miss that. Thanks so much to Jason and Papa V for draggin it all the way up here for us so John can work his magic! Love you guys!

I Love John's truck. Its the truck we dated in, its the truck that John has always loved so much, there are so many memories in that truck, i hope it'll be around for a long time. It really is fun for me to just see it because its the truck i always watched (and listened) for that meant John was here! So even though our car doesn't yet fit in the garage again i don't mind too much, i'm glad his truck is finally here and someday it will run again :)

Embarrassing moments...

So, my father-in-law's been giving me a hard time because i don't post enough! So i'm trying to catch up, as i was looking at one of my friends blog she had blogged about embarrassing moments...This blog reminded me about last Saturday.... so i thought i'd share. Okay, so we're at a friends house up in Saratoga Springs and all the guys were standing around in the kitchen. Notice the Shirt John is wearing in the post previous this one, it's brown, thermalish and long sleeve. Well, John happened to be wearing this exact shirt last Saturday, so as i came into the kitchen, i put my arm through this brown, long-sleeve, thermalish sleeved arm and kinda leaned up against him. Well, next thing i know someone, whose voice i don't really recognize says "Elise, i think you've got the wrong guy." Wow, i'd tried to cuddle up to somebody else's husband wearing a brown, long sleeve, thermalish shirt. Super embarrassing, until Saturday i can't even remember the last time my face went bright red but it sure did that day... Hey, at least i gave everyone a good laugh huh?
