Hartford, here we come!

Wow, hhave i been? I guess after we found out about the little boy i've just lost my mind....but i just wanted to do a quick update and say GOODBYE! We're leaving, in the morning bright and early. Our car is packed with a new set of tires...am i forgetting anything? I sure hope not, but whatever i am forgetting, i'm sure we'll just be able to live without. Today we celebrated John's birthday (between all the packing and cleaning) and we had a little BBQ with the neighbors, we're going to miss everyone here but we're excited for our new adventure! I don't know when i'll be able to post again or when i'll have internet again, but i'm sure it won't be long. Wish us luck!

Most recent aerating adventure...oh wow

So, this is how aerating goes: we pick a neighborhood that looks good, mostly ones that have small yards, John and I knock doors until one of us gets a house that wants an aeration, John starts aerating and i keep knocking and set up a few more appointments for him to keep him busy for however long he wants to be. Its been working pretty well for us but today was another story...I'm just knocking the doors like usual after John's started aerating and a guy answers a door. Before he gets there i can hear the dog barking so i'm just waiting, unalarmed (everyone has dogs around here) well he comes to the door and its this old fat guy without a shirt on, i'm a little shocked/embarrassed that he opened the door in the first place so i temporarily forget about the mean growling HUGE dog behind him. Well, i didnt' forget for long because before i know it he's broke free of the homeowners grasp and his teeth are clamped around most of my upper thigh. I scream, of course what else do you do? The homeowner yanks his, let me remind you, HUGE dog off of my leg, smacks his nose, tells him he's a bad dog and then asks me if i'm okay. Of course, i say i'm fine... i really think i am just my leg is throbbing, but my pants didn't rip or anything so i figure it can't be too bad. Mostly i'm just shocked, maybe a little shook up but mostly just...pregnant, you know, overly emotional? Well i assure him that i'm just fine, we don't need to go in the house and strip off my pants just to make sure and then i leave. I held the tears in til i see John, by now my leg isn't even hurting anymore but it scared me! (and i'm pregnant)John is so loving and worried and he's just hugging me asking what in the world is the matter. Well i just keep crying hysterically and for some reason i can't stop, in the middle of all my crying i'm laughing at myself for being such an idiot and crying for no real reason. Anyway, i explain to John what happened and we take a look at my leg. Honestly, it is pretty bad, i'm just hoping that dog didn't have rabies or something but mostly i think its bruised...my leg, and my pride.

My Hot-Hard-Working-Husband

Gosh John's amazing ;) This was the first day since quitting Macey's that he's actually been able to Aerate because of the weather! Yay, it was pretty exciting, he did 4 lawns in just a few hours and we got to start working on our tans :) Tomorrow's going to be the big day with lots of appointments. Well, we learned a few things today; Aerating is HARD work, chains on aerators come off when on slopes and really wet grass, and water and tools are always good things to have on hand, oh, and one more thing my husband is HOT when he's working hard! (But maybe we already knew that...)

If anyone in the area would like their lawn aerated John's definitly the best around! And we'd love to do it (he's the cheapest too :), thats always a plus!) Just contact V's Aerating (AKA me or John) and we'd love to hook you up!

Conference Weekend!

Meg, Bruce and Parents came for conference weekend and it was so fun to have them here! Of course we took a walk on the parkway between sessions on Sunday and it was pretty nice

Sister's FuN!

Emily came into town today for a transfer day tour since she'll be joining us in the fall. Nat and I went to Transfer day free lunch at the Marketplace and it was awesome! After everything we came back to my house for a little girly time, we did Mary Kay facials and below is the final product, what do you think?

I sure hope Debbie didn't feel left out! We would have loved to have her!

Oh, and this other picture, Emily was supposed to be taking a picture of all of me but all she got was the belly, its kind of funny because i keep trying to look pregnant so in this pic i'm arching my back as much as possible to make my belly stick out, this picture captured it perfectly because you can't really see my stance, i look like i'm eight months! Thanks Em and Nat for the fun! Love you guys!

Bowling with Brannon

We went bowling again with Brannon from Macey's, it was a good time. John and i hadn't been since last time we went with him a while ago. This time John's friend Austin from work came with too, he was so nice and ended up paying for all of us, what a sweetheart. He's leaving on his mission here in a couple more weeks....who could we set him up with....

Isaac's Baptism!

It was a fun weekend with Isaac's baptism! It was so special, being able to see Isaac be baptized and also seeing Peter baptism him, it was very sweet. Here's a picture of Isaac with the girls :)

Emily was determined to fly this kite, we failed, and we failed, and we failed again but Emily just kept trying, she even continued after we'd all given up, i'm sad to say though that she never did get it to fly, oh well i guess we need windier weather (windeir, is that a word?)

John was hilarious with the dog. He just kept egging Chloe on and wrestling with her and she's such a good dog, she just takes it. Later that night, John was just sitting there in the rocking chair and Chloe comes over and puts her paw on his knee and her head resting on his other knee, it was very cute and i can't figure out why she likes him so much! I guess its the same reason the rest of us like him....he's just so annoying that you just can't help it!

It was a very fun weekend with the family, thanks Isaac for bringing us all together!

Hey Everyone, so i'm graduating in 5 weeks! On May 2 (John's Birthday), i'm wondering if there are any of you USU College graduates that would allow me to borrow your cap and gown.... I've got a tassel and i just need a black cap and gown, so if anybody wouldn't mind, let me know! Thanks a ton!

Spring Break!

So i know i'm a little late, just wanted to let everyone know whats going on in our lives. Last week was spring break, John went to Vegas to sell for the week and i stayed here in Logan while my family came for a visit. It was awesome, great to see them and hang out. We did all sorts of fun things that you can check out at Natalie's or my Mom's blog, i won't worry about posting any pic's. John took our camera with him to Vegas and didn't take a single picture so i guess its like they say "what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas!" School's started up again and oh man its been tough getting back into the swing of things, John and I both have Spring Fever bad and all we want to do is enjoy the nice weather we've FINALLY been getting! Yesterday i pulled out a camp chair and read my book in the sun while John worked on his truck. He's hoping to get the motor all put back together in the next couple of weeks. It's so fun to be able to enjoy the sunshine and people in general are so much happier these days! It's crazy what a little warm weather can do.
Today was my 16 week appointment, it was sure fun to hear the Heartbeat again, to be reassured that its still there and everything is fine. We also made our ultrasound appointment! So here in a few weeks we'll know what we're having! So fun. Anyway, life is great, i feel great. I don't feel sick or tired anymore, John's got a cold of somekind pretty bad, he's miserable but thankfully he's just quit his Macey's job so that he can start his own business aerating lawns, (if anyone around needs their lawn aerated for a great deal let us know!) Anyway, i'm glad his last day at Macey's is next tuesday because then John can finally start getting some good sleep! Waking up at 3:30 am has been kind of rough so we're glad for that to be over. Well, there's a little update.

Happy Spring Break!

Yay! It's Spring Break! I just got inside after shoveling 8 INCHES of NEW SNOW off of the drive way.... Crazy, oh and we got a text from our neighbor last night at 1:40 in the morning letting us know our neighbors house was on fire....great, we weren't sure if he was just playing a really mean joke or if it was true, but sure enough as i was shoveling this morning, i looked across the street and our neighbor's house was on fire, it was all black this morning. I don't know what the story is, i guess the whole neighborhood heard all the fire engines and police cars and half of the neighborhood was evacuated but John and i just slept right through it all.... I guess we were blessed with deep sleep ;)

P.S. I think everyone's okay
